Verify Solo's Answers to Improve Accuracy

When you receive an answer from Solo, you have the opportunity to provide feedback on its quality. This helps improve Solo's accuracy over time and ensures your team gets the most reliable information. You can mark answers as verified and correct, flag them as unhelpful, or even find an expert to review them.

Why Verify Answers?

Verifying answers is a simple way to train Solo. When you confirm an answer is correct or provide feedback on an incorrect one, you're helping the system learn. This process ensures that Solo becomes a more trustworthy and effective assistant for your entire team, building confidence in the answers it provides.

How to Enable the Verification Feature

An administrator can enable the verification buttons for your team. This can be done for the entire workspace or configured for specific Slack channels.

  • Workspace-wide: In Account Settings > Configuration, an admin can toggle on the "Show verify button (chat)" switch.

  • Per Slack Channel: In the settings for a specific Slack integration, an admin can turn on the "Show verify button" for that particular channel.

Using the Verification Workflow

Once enabled, you will see buttons alongside Solo's answers in chat. Here’s how they work:

  • When you click "Verify": This action confirms that Solo's answer is correct and helpful. It creates a record that the answer was accurate.

  • When you click "Not helpful": This action flags the answer as incorrect. You may be asked to provide a corrected answer or explain why the information was wrong. This feedback is crucial for helping Solo improve.

Find an Expert for a Second Opinion

Sometimes you might not be sure if an answer is correct and need someone with more knowledge to take a look. That's where the "Ask an expert" button comes in handy.

  • What it does: Clicking this button will provide you with a list of team members who are considered experts on the topic of your question. You can then reach out to one of them to request they verify the answer.

  • How to turn it on: Similar to the verify button, an admin can enable the "Show find expert button (chat)" in the main Configuration settings or for individual Slack channels.
