A draft allows you to compile, review, and manually edit changes to your documentation before pushing them to your connected platform.
View a draft
When an article has a draft, a toggle appears at the top of the document.
Select Draft to view your unpublished changes.
Select Published article to view the version currently live on your platform.
Review changes
To see exactly what changed, go to the Draft view and select the Show changes view icon. This highlights the differences between your draft and the published article. You can switch between Visual and Html modes to review the updates.
Create and update drafts
You can build a draft using two methods:
Accepting suggestions: When reviewing an action item, select Add to Draft. This applies the suggested change to your draft so you can review multiple updates together before publishing.
Manual edits: Select Edit on an article to manually update the content. Select Save Draft to store your changes.
Publish a draft
When you are ready to update your live documentation, publish your draft.
Select Draft to view the draft content.
Select Publish Draft.
If an article is updated directly on your connected platform after you create a draft, you receive a warning before publishing. This prevents you from accidentally overwriting external changes.
Delete a draft
To discard your unpublished changes, select Delete Draft. This removes the draft and reverts the view to the published article. This action cannot be undone.
Draft notifications
To keep your workspace organized, you will receive a direct message in Slack if a draft remains unpublished for over two weeks.
