Get Feedback by Sharing Your Documents

Need a colleague to review your work? Sharing a document is a great way to collaborate and get valuable feedback from experts, like a product manager who designed the feature or an engineer with deep knowledge. You can easily send them a direct link to your document.

Why Share a Document?

Sharing your documentation ensures accuracy and clarity. When you invite others to review your work, you can: * Catch errors or omissions you might have missed. * Get a fresh perspective from a subject matter expert. * Ensure the information is easy for everyone to understand.

How to Share a Document

The way you share a document depends on whether it was created in the app or imported from another source.

Sharing Imported Documents

If your document was imported from a source like Notion, Confluence, Intercom, or Zendesk, it already has a shareable link.

  1. Navigate to the document you want to share.

  2. Click the View Documentation button. This will open the original document in a new browser tab.

  3. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar.

  4. Paste and send this link to your colleague.

Some imported documents may also have an Edit Documentation button, which will take you to the editing page in the original source.

Sharing Documents Created in the App

For documents created directly in the application, you first need to publish them to generate a shareable link.

  1. From the document page, click the Publish button.

  2. Follow the prompts to publish your document to a connected service like Notion or Intercom.

  3. After the document is published, a View Documentation button will become available.

  4. You can then follow the same steps for sharing an imported document to copy and send the link.
