Get Started with Solo
Setting up Solo is quick and easy—it takes less than 5 minutes! While you can do it all by yourself, our team is always here to assist if you need a hand.
Before You Begin: A Quick Checklist
To connect your tools to Solo, you'll need administrative access. If you don't have the right permissions for a tool, you can invite a team member who does to your Solo team so they can help connect it.
Before you start, make sure you have administrative access to the tools you plan to use:
Slack
Github
Bitbucket
Notion
Confluence
Intercom
Zendesk
LaunchDarkly
Note: You only need access to the tools you plan to connect.
Connecting Your Tools
Follow these steps to create your account and link your tools.
1. Create Your Solo Account
First things first, let's get your account set up.
Navigate to
https://app.asksolo.ai/auth/signup.Follow the prompts to create your account and then verify your email address.
2. Connect Your Tools from Account Settings
Once you're logged in, you can manage all your connections from one place.
Click your name in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Select Account Settings from the menu.
Click on the Integrations tab.
From the Integrations page, you can connect each of your tools.
Connect Github
Find Github in the list and click Connect.
You will be taken to the Github website. Select your organization and log in.
Important: To connect Github, your role must beOwner. If you don't have this role, you'll need to either have your permissions updated or ask someone with theOwnerrole to complete this step.
Select the repositories you want Solo to access. For the best results, we recommend selecting all of them.
Enter the name of the branch you want Solo to pull information from.
Connect Zendesk
Find Zendesk in the list and click Connect.
You will be taken to the Zendesk website. Log in to your account to authorize the connection.
Connect Intercom
Find Intercom in the list and click Connect.
You will be taken to the Intercom website. Log in to your account to authorize the connection.
Connect Slack
Find Slack in the list and click Add to Slack.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection process. > Note: You must be a Slack admin to connect the tool.
Navigate to a channel in slack where you want to add Solo
Type "/app"
Search for Solo and press "Add"
Connect Notion
Find Notion in the list and click Connect. > Note: You must be a Notion admin to connect the tool.
You will be taken to a Notion permissions page. Click Select pages.
Choose all the pages you want Solo to have access to. We recommend selecting every page to ensure Solo can provide the most accurate information.
You're all set! Once connected, you can:
Write new articles in Solo and push them directly to Notion.
Rely on Solo to review your Notion content weekly and notify you if anything becomes out of date.
