Connect Your GitHub Account to Solo
Connecting your GitHub account allows Solo to access your codebase, providing you with precise, context-aware answers about your product's functionality directly from the source code.
How to Connect GitHub
Follow these steps to integrate your GitHub repositories with Solo.
Log in to Solo If you're not already logged in, please sign in to your account.
Go to Your Account Settings
Click on your name located in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
From the menu, select Account Settings.
Find the GitHub Integration
In the Account Settings window, navigate to the Integrations tab.
Locate GitHub in the list of available integrations and click the Connect button next to it.
Authorize with GitHub You will be redirected to GitHub to complete the authorization process.
Select the organization you wish to connect.
Log in to your GitHub account if prompted.
A quick heads-up! To connect GitHub, you must have an Owner role in your GitHub organization. If you don't have this permission level, you'll need to ask someone with an Owner role in your company to set up the integration.
Select Your Repositories
On the GitHub authorization screen, choose which repositories you want Solo to access.
For the best and most accurate results, we recommend selecting All repositories.
Enter Your Production Branch
After authorizing, you'll be brought back to Solo.
For each repository you've selected, you will need to enter the name of the branch you want Solo to pull information from (for example,
mainormaster).
Save Your Changes Once you have entered the branch names for all your selected repositories, click Save to complete the setup.
